Ruth Mary (Green) Eichenberger
1913-1997

Ruth Mary “Babe” Eichenberger, 84, of LaGrange, formerly of Ottawa, died Monday evening, July 21.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John P. Meyers of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dayton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Eichenberger was born June 17, 1913, in Ottawa, to Ralph and Ruth (Haight) Green. She married William Eichenberger in June of 1936. He died in 1969.

She was a graduate of the University of Illinois in 1935.

She is survived by a sister, Grace (Charles W.) Clifford of Dayton; two nieces, Candace Wilmot of Urbana, Sara “Sally” (Richard) Berner of Hayworth [sic], and a nephew, Kenneth (Ellen) Green of St. Paul, Minn.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth.
