DEATH CLAIMS FORMER DAYTON TWP. RESIDENT
Mrs. Josephine Gibson, 73, formerly of Dayton township and well known in Ottawa, died at 6 p. m. yesterday in the Illinois Wesleyan hospital in Chicago, where she had been matron for many years.
The body will arrive in Dayton today and funeral services will take place at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, at the home of her son, William Gibson of Dayton township. Rev. George T. Green of the Methodist church of Ottawa will officiate. Burial is to be in the Dayton cemetery.
Mrs. Gibson, who was the daughter of the late Mr. and Basil Green, descendants of La Salle county pioneers, was born in Nevada May 7, 1860. She was united in marriage with John Gibson, who preceded her in death many years ago.
She is survived by two sons, William Gibson of Dayton, Fred E. Gibson of Rock Island and two brothers, Fred and Rush Green of Dayton township. A brother, Winfield S. Green, died in 1918.1
