Obituary:

James H. Timmons, 63 years old, died at his home in Marseilles, Thursday, Oct. 27, of diabetes after an illness of two days. James H. Timmons was born at Leland in 1857. He was united in marriage at Seneca in 1877 with Miss Annie Grace. They made their home in Marseilles for two years after their marriage, when they moved to Dayton. Ten years ago they returned to Marseilles and for several years conducted the Schultz hotel. Mr. Timmons leaves his wife, and these children: Mrs. Thomas Fenton, Mrs. Leon Messenie, Miss Beulah Timmons, George, James, Frank and Harry Timmons, all of Marseilles. The funeral services were held at 9 o’clock Saturday morning at the home. Interment was made at Dayton.¹
