George Milton Dunavan

Obituary:
News of the death of Geo. M. Dunavan, in Chicago, has been received in this city, but no particulars were given. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning from the train at Dayton at at [sic] 10:30. The interment will take place at the Dayton cemetery.
Mr. Dunavan removed to Texas several years ago, but was a well known old settler of La Salle county. He was a farmer and at one time owned 500 acres of land in Dayton township, where he resided. He married Catherine Green and had ten children: Silas L., Louisa J., Lucian G., Emma M., Mary E., Frank N., Chas. W., Ella B., Cora L., and Edwin D. He was in the Black Hawk war.1
