Arthur Tepfer Dies At Age 69; Ill Two Years

Arthur A. Tepfer, 69, of Ottawa RFD 2, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday at his home. He had been ill for the past two years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gladfelter Chapel by the Rev. Yahnke of the Dayton Baptist Church. Burial will be in Dayton Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Gladfelter’s.

Born Jan. 5, 1893 in Earlville, Mr. Tepfer married Hester Powell July 7, 1926. He had lived in the Ottawa community since 1905.

Mr. Tepfer is survived by his wife and a brother, Chester of Chicago.

He was a member of the American Legion and was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Tepfer was a self-employed laborer.¹
