He died Saturday and buried at the cemetery in Dayton Sunday afternoon. There was quite a large attendance of the neighbors and friends of the bereaved parents at the funeral services, which were held at the school house, Rev. J. Ried conducting the services.1
A Fatal Fall
A boy about 10 years of age named Bogart, living near Dayton, met with a fall that caused his death on Friday. He was driving some cattle, allowing them to graze as they moved along, and he climbed a tree and soon fell. He struck on his stomach and was found by the members of a Sunday school class who were out on a picnic. He was found to be seriously hirt and said himself that he wanted to see his mother for he was going to die, and on Saturday morning he passed away. – Ottawa Times2
