Obituary:

Last Tuesday a year and a half old child of Mr. George Smith was playing in the street near his home when he was attacked by a loose horse and fatally injured. He died about 5:30 P. M. from the effect of his bruises.¹

May 4, 1881 (burial)   child, Geo. Smith, bur Dayton²
